# Odoo website builder alternatives in 2026

Odoo's free plan gives you one app. Add CRM or accounting and every user is
billed. Seven builders for people who mostly want the website, compared on
free plans, your own domain, selling, and AI agents. PageHub is ours, so we
list where it's weaker too. Every competitor fact comes from that company's
own pages, checked October 12, 2026. If you want an Odoo website
alternative that's cheaper than Odoo once your team grows, most of these
are, because they price per site or per store instead of per user.

## Quick picks

- Just a website, free, on your own domain: **PageHub**
- Bookings or a store, without an ERP: **Wix**
- A store that's the whole business: **Shopify**
- A polished site with no learning curve: **Squarespace**
- Blogs, content, and WooCommerce: **WordPress.com**
- Another all-in-one suite, but cheaper per site: **Zoho Sites**
- Selling in person and online with Square: **Square Online**

## The baseline: Odoo

One App Free: one app and its dependencies, unlimited users, Odoo Online.
eCommerce brings Website and Invoicing with it. A new domain can be free
for the first year. A second app moves you to Standard, $24.90 per user a
month billed yearly for the first 12 months ($31.10 after, $38.90 billed
monthly). Odoo's MCP server works with database records, not website
pages. Odoo Community is open source.

## PageHub

Free: 1 site on a domain you own, 20 pages, no branding, Stripe checkout
with no PageHub fee. Pro is $7 a month per site, never per user. Your own
AI agent can build, restyle, and publish over MCP. Exports static HTML,
React, Next.js, Vue, or Nuxt. Weaker than Odoo: no CRM, inventory, or
accounting, and no free first-year domain.

## Wix

Free on a wixsite.com address. Light is $17 a month billed yearly; selling
starts on Core, $29. Official MCP server. No code export.

## Shopify

No free plan. Basic is $29 a month billed yearly or $39 monthly, with a
full store on every plan. MCP tools cover store data, not pages. Theme
files export without content.

## Squarespace

No free plan. Basic is $19 a month billed yearly or $25 monthly, with
selling on every plan (2% fee on Basic). MCP covers domain search only.

## WordPress.com

Free with ads. Personal is $4 a month billed yearly. WooCommerce from
Business, $25. Official MCP server on paid plans. Content exports as XML.

## Zoho Sites

No free plan. Lite is $1 a month per site billed yearly, for 1 page.
Selling is a separate product, Zoho Commerce. Zoho MCP can create and edit
pages.

## Square Online

A free store on a square.site address at 3.3% + 30¢ per online card
payment. Your own domain needs Square Plus, $49 a month per location.

## When to stay on Odoo

If you run sales, stock, invoices, and the website in one system, Odoo is
built for that. Leave when the website is the part you use and the
per-user bill is the part you don't want.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is Odoo's website builder really free?
One App Free gives you one app and the apps it depends on, with unlimited
users, hosted on Odoo Online. Choosing eCommerce brings Website and
Invoicing with it. It can include a new domain free for the first year
after a manual review. Installing a second app, like CRM or accounting,
moves you to Standard: $24.90 per user a month billed yearly for the first
12 months, then $31.10.

### What's the best free alternative to Odoo for a website?
PageHub's free plan puts one site on a domain you already own, with no
branding and Stripe checkout, and it's priced per site, not per user. Wix
and WordPress.com have free plans but need a paid plan for a custom
domain. Square Online has a free store on a square.site address. Shopify,
Squarespace, and Zoho Sites have trials only.

### Which Odoo alternatives let Claude or Cursor build the site?
PageHub, Wix, WordPress.com, and Zoho Sites have official MCP routes that
work with sites and pages, with different scopes: PageHub's agent can
change the design, attach the domain, and publish. Odoo's own MCP server
reads and searches database records; its docs don't mention editing
website pages. Squarespace's MCP covers domain search only, and Shopify's
and Square's cover store data, not pages.

### Should I leave Odoo at all?
Stay if you run sales, stock, invoices, and the website in one system;
none of these builders replace Odoo's back office. Leave if the website is
what you actually use and you'd rather not pay per user.

### Can I export my site from these Odoo alternatives?
PageHub exports static HTML, React, Next.js, Vue, or Nuxt on every plan.
WordPress.com and Squarespace export content only, and Shopify exports its
theme files without content. Wix doesn't export. Odoo Community itself is
open source, so you can self-host Odoo.
