Each alternative, up close

Where each one beats Odoo's website, where it falls short, and who it suits.

PageHub

A website builder with a visual editor, where your own AI agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor) can also build and publish the site. Just the website: no CRM or accounting.

Better than Odoo

  • Priced per site, not per user, so adding staff never changes the bill.
  • Your own AI agent can build pages, change the design, and publish. Odoo's MCP server works with database records, not website pages.

Weaker than Odoo

No CRM, inventory, or accounting, and no free first-year domain. If you want those in one system, Odoo does more.

Best for
A business that wants a website, not an ERP, and no per-user bill as the team grows.

Wix

A drag-and-drop builder with business apps for bookings, events, and stores built in.

Better than Odoo

  • Bookings, events, and stores built in, with no per-user pricing.
  • Far more design freedom than Odoo's website editor.

Weaker than Odoo

No custom domain on free, no code export, and no back office like Odoo's inventory or accounting.

Best for
Businesses that want bookings or a store without running a full ERP.

Shopify

The best-known online store platform, with apps for nearly every store need.

Better than Odoo

  • The deepest store features and app ecosystem on this list.
  • No per-user pricing on staff.

Weaker than Odoo

No free plan, and no CRM or accounting built in.

Best for
A store that's the whole business, if inventory and orders are what you'd use Odoo for.

Squarespace

An all-in-one builder with designer templates, commerce, and scheduling.

Better than Odoo

  • Polished templates, and selling on every plan.

Weaker than Odoo

No free plan, and no back office beyond the store.

Best for
A polished brochure site or small store with no design learning curve.

WordPress.com

Managed WordPress hosting from Automattic, with plugins and WooCommerce.

Better than Odoo

  • A real CMS and plugins, and the cheapest paid custom domain here.

Weaker than Odoo

Ads and no custom domain on free, and transaction fees on the cheaper plans.

Best for
Content-heavy sites, and stores that want the WooCommerce plugin ecosystem.

Zoho Sites

Zoho's website builder. Zoho, like Odoo, also sells CRM, books, and inventory, each as a separate product.

Better than Odoo

  • The closest to Odoo's all-in-one idea, with a far cheaper website on its own.
  • An official MCP route that edits pages.

Weaker than Odoo

No free plan, and the $1 plan is a single page.

Best for
Teams already on Zoho CRM or Zoho Books who want the site in the same family.

Square Online

An online store from Square, tied into Square's point of sale.

Better than Odoo

  • A store on the free plan, synced with in-person sales.

Weaker than Odoo

Your own domain costs $49 a month per location.

Best for
Shops and restaurants already using Square in person.

When to stay on Odoo

If you run sales, stock, invoices, and the website in one system, Odoo is built for that, and none of the builders here replace its back office. Leave when the website is the part you actually use and the per-user bill is the part you don't want.

How we compared them

Every competitor fact comes from that company's own pricing, help, or developer pages, checked October 12, 2026. Each section links its sources. Where a page didn't say, we wrote "not confirmed" instead of guessing. Prices change, so check the vendor's page before you buy.

Questions about leaving Odoo

What people ask when they want the website without the ERP.

One App Free gives you one app and the apps it depends on, with unlimited users, hosted on Odoo Online. Choosing eCommerce brings Website and Invoicing with it. It can include a new domain free for the first year after a manual review. Installing a second app, like CRM or accounting, moves you to Standard: $24.90 per user a month billed yearly for the first 12 months, then $31.10.
