About this block
A visit-us section that puts everything someone needs to find you in one place: your address, opening hours, a short note on parking or transit, and an interactive map. Three buttons let visitors email you, call you, or open turn-by-turn directions. It suits shops, studios, clinics, and offices that welcome walk-ins.
When to use it
- On a contact or location page for a business people visit in person.
- Near the bottom of a homepage, so visitors can check your hours without leaving.
- When your entrance is easy to miss and a map pin plus a note saves you phone calls.
- When you want call and directions one tap away for people on their phones.
What's inside
- An eyebrow line, an h2 heading, and a short intro paragraph.
- Address and hours as separate labelled groups, one line per day range, plus an italic transit note.
- Email, Call, and Directions buttons. They sit in a row on small tablets and wide desktops and stack full-width everywhere else, so the labels never get squeezed.
- A grey OpenStreetMap map with two pins, your door and the nearest station. Each pin opens a small popup with a title and a note.
- Two columns from tablet width up. On phones the map comes first and the details follow.
How to customize it
- Replace the address and hours with your own, and keep one line per day range so people can scan them.
- Point the Email and Call buttons at your own email address and phone number, and set the Directions button to a Google Maps link for your address.
- Select each map pin to set its latitude, longitude, title, and popup text, and move the map's center to match.
- Delete the second pin or the transit note if you don't have a station nearby, or add a Map Path to show the walk from the street to your door.
Questions
- Do I need a Google Maps API key for the map?
- No. The map uses OpenStreetMap tiles, which need no key or account. The Directions button opens Google Maps in a new tab for the route itself.
- Should I put my opening hours on my website?
- Yes. Hours are one of the most common reasons people visit a local business site. Keep them matching your Google Business Profile, because search engines and visitors both compare the two.
- Will the map work on phones?
- Yes. It sits at the top of the section on phones, you can pinch to zoom and drag it, and the call and directions buttons are full-width below.
